28 Avr LISAA Mode Paris students mobilize for Secours Populaire – Rock en Seine 2023
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Rock en Seine festival on August 23, 25, 26 and 27, the students of LISAA Mode Paris are mobilizing for the benefit of victims of social injustice. Nearly 500 accessories made from unsold or surplus fabrics will be sold on a dedicated stand within the ACT! of Rock en Seine. The money collected will be donated to the Secours Populaire to finance the solidarity locker room of the association.
It was during an exceptional Hackathon-couture on the school’s premises last March that the 650 students of LISAA Mode Paris took turns for 24 consecutive hours, day and night, to produce a collection of clothing and “upcycled” accessories .
This solidarity merchandising was made from clothes recovered by the Secours Populaire, old Rock en Seine collections , and surplus fabrics from major French fashion brands. 490 pieces were created : bags, bucket hats, water bottle holders, embroidered and screen-printed accessories, as well as screen-printed t-shirts. Each one can be personalized by the students, during the festival, on a voluntary basis. All of the revenue collected through these sales will be entirely donated to the Secours Populaire de Paris to finance the clothing assistance offered by the association. Its solidarity wardrobe welcomes more than 2,700 families and households in Paris every year to allow them to dress with dignity.
