12 Fév Flag Bar Awards at Fuzz Club
The Flag Bar Awards is the only institution that awards the best bars in Greece, continuing the tradition started by Dionysis Koukis and Chrysoula Kyriakopoulou 5 years ago. The specialized professionals of the jury visit bars all over Greece and examine from the quality and the list, to the atmosphere and the skills of the bartenders. The bars that are selected are evaluated and those that meet the quality requirements are awarded. Renewed with a modern philosophy and vision, the institution of the FLAG Bar Awards awarded the best bars of the country and their people, in a ceremony-celebration for the dynamic Greek bar scene on Monday, February 20, at the « Fuzz Club ».
Bartenders and bar owners from Athens and all over Greece, ambassadors of fine spirits and executives of the Greek beverage industry attended the gala awarding ceremony of the first FLAG Bar Awards. They were warmly welcomed by Dionysis Koukis, founder of the FLAG in Life website and initiator and organizer of the bar awards institution, together with Chrysoula Kyriakopoulou, co-founder of the institutions and the site. One of the purposes of FLAG in life is to reward the Greek bartending scene, which is one of the most dynamic, friendly and polyphonic in the whole world, by organizing the FLAG Bar Awards.
The procedure followed is the following to select the awards:
-They try the signature cocktails
-They try selected classic cocktails
-They examine the spirit list
-They rate the atmosphere and the hospitality
-They award one, two and three flags to the best bars in the country
-They award with special prizes
